Market.NET offers high-speed dedicated SLIP/PPP connections and server colocation in the San Francisco Bay Area. Web space and virtual hosts are also available.

These prices are for a single Class C Internet address. Although we can provide some technical assistance, we expect the customer to be able to set up their end of the link.

The Connection

The customer provides two modems or DSU/CSUs, one for their end and one for the Market.NET end. The customer is responsible for installing and paying for the phone service between both ends (except for options 5 and 6, Centrex ISDN, where your lines are part of our Centrex).

If your site's phone service uses the

Mountain View #11 central office (all of Mountain View, a bit of Los Altos): (prefixes 335, 336, 390, 691, 694, 903, 940, 960, 961, 962, 964, 965, 966, 967, 968, 969, 988)

you can use Centrex service to avoid metered business-rate charges. (Note that the phone company regularly adds new prefixes to COs; ask if you're unsure.)

Web Space

Market.NET can provide you with an Internet site presence without the expense of leased lines and networking hardware.

With a virtual host, the customer gets DNS, SMTP, FTP, Telnet, and WWW capability under their own domain name. Market.NET provides the equipment and handles registration, administration and backup.

Payment

All fees and one month's service must be paid for in full before the connection will be turned on. Each calendar month's service charges must be paid in advance; the first bill will be due at the end of the signon month, prorated to bring the billing cycle into sync with the calendar month.

You may take a 10% discount off monthly charges if you elect to prepay on a quarterly basis.
